Main Concepts
Convert fractions to decimals by dividing the numerator by the denominator.
Decimals can either be terminating (the division ends in a 0) or repeating where a digit or group of digits repeat endlessly.
Decimals can have an infinite expansion when repeating hence having a location on the number line is approximated.
A rational number has a finite decimal expansion is the same as saying that it can be expressed as a fraction whose numerator is a base-ten unit.
To use long division for finite decimals it can be modeled with the base ten unit.
