Description
Rabbit’s Grid Quest is a 2D top‑down educational game that teaches players (ages 11–14) how to plot integers on a coordinate plane. Controlling Riley the Rabbit, players navigate a 21×21 grid by moving first along the X‑axis and then the Y‑axis to discover hidden “special carrots.” Across eight levels—ranging from positive-only coordinates in Quadrant I to mixed positive/negative values in all four quadrants—students practice reading and applying ordered pairs, quadrant identification, and verbal spatial clues. Interactive obstacles (logs, thorns, slimes) and progressive challenges reinforce understanding without penalizing mistakes, making learning engaging and fun.

Main Concepts
Discussion Questions
Before the Game
What are the coordinates of the origin on a coordinate plane? How can we use two numbers to indicate an exact spot on a grid? What are the two lines called that cross at the origin and create the coordinate plane? In which directions do you move from the origin if the coordinates are both positive?
After the Game
Which quadrant has all negative coordinates? Plot the point (1,-1). Which quadrant would it be in?
